WHAT IS ESCAPE TOWN?

It is an Online Escape Room platform.
It is a new form of entertainment that will engage you in adventures to be completed from the comfort of your home, using only your smartphone (or PC or Tablet), a little ingenuity and the desire to test yourself.

WHERE DO YOU PLAY?

Our Online Escape Rooms can be played comfortably from home or wherever you want.

HOW TO PLAY?

Our Online Escape Rooms can be played alone, in pairs or in groups, using a single device (PC / Tablet / Smartphone).
When you start a game,  you NEVER have to close the browser or the window you are playing in before the end of the mission.

DO I NEED TO DOWNLOAD AN APP OR SOFTWARE TO PLAY?

No, all of our adventures are web-resident, so they can be played through any browser of your choice.
At the time of purchase you will receive a confirmation email with a game start link and a game code.
When you start a game, you NEVER have to close the browser or the window you are playing in before the end of the mission.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN PLAY?

Each adventure can be played alone, as a couple or in a group, up to a recommended maximum of 4 people.
At the time of purchase, a code will be generated that will allow you to play the adventure on a single device (smartphone, tablet, PC). We therefore suggest that you do not play with more than 4 people in order not to affect the gaming experience.

WHAT IF WE ARE LARGE GROUPS?

We suggest you buy the same adventure every 4 players. You can play it simultaneously and challenge yourself.

IS MULTIPLAYER MODE PROVIDED?

If you want to play with several remote friends at the same time, you can opt for two options.
Collaboration-option: a player buys a ticket and connects with other distant friends through one of the many videocall programs (Zoom, Skype, Google Meet …): by sharing the screen, all connected friends will be able to see the player maneuvering the game.
Challenge-Option: All remote players each buy a ticket, start the game and compete on the running time.

WHEN CAN I PLAY?

You can play any adventure when you want, without any reservation of day or time.
The validity of the purchased ticket is 3 months from the date of purchase and can take place at any time you want: day, evening, night, week, weekend.

HOW LONG DOES THE GAME?

Each mission / adventure has a specific average game duration, calculated on the number of puzzles and solving difficulties. On the presentation page of each single adventure, the average game duration is specified.
The maximum time available is instead standard: 180 minutes. The counter will start as soon as you have gone to the place indicated in the purchase email and pressed the start button: the platform will ask you to enter the code you received via email.

I HAVE JUST COMPLETED THE PURCHASE AND NOW WHAT SHOULD I DO?

As soon as the purchase is completed, the system automatically generates an email containing the game start link and the game code. If the email is not received, check the spam carefully, otherwise contact us by email.

CAN I STOP THE GAME?

Each mission / adventure is designed to be played without time interruptions, also because, from the moment you start a game, a 180-minute countdown is activated. Therefore it is not possible to stop the game and resume it later.
When you start a game, you NEVER have to close the browser or the window you are playing in before the end of the mission.

CAN I CHANGE DEVICE DURING THE GAME?

No, each game code is valid for one device only. If you start playing with one device, you will only be able to use that device until the end of the game. If you try to change the device anyway, the system will ask you for the game code at CHECK CODE and will tell you that the code is not valid.
When you start a game, you NEVER have to close the browser or the window you are playing in before the end of the mission.

WHEN I ENTER THE GAME CODE, THE SYSTEM SAYS "WRONG PASSWORD"

Normally, the first link to our games requires a first password which is found within the introductory video on that same page. This is a password, not a game code, so watch the introductory video all the way and then enter the correct password.

 

 

The game code is normally requested at the CHECK CODE, a mask that opens only once during the entire game experience. Here you must enter the game code received by mail (if you purchased directly on our site).

 

HOW DO I SOLVE THE PUZZLES AND ADVANCE IN THE GAME?

Our adventures are designed in such a way as to require at each step / passage the resolution of a puzzle or a choice to be made.
In case of a puzzle, the correct result must be entered at the bottom of the page in the “PROTECTED AREA”.

 

 

However, under the “PROTECTED AREA” there are help and solutions.

In case of choice, just click on the button corresponding to the desired choice and it will land on a new page.

HOW DO I GET OUT OF A GAME AND START ANOTHER?

If you want to abandon a game in progress (without first ending it or before the 180 minutes have expired) and immediately start a different one, you must use a browser or a device different from the first one used.

I HAVE FINISHED A GAME AND I WANT TO START ANOTHER, BUT THE SYSTEM DOES NOT LET ME LOG IN

If you have finished a game in advance of the maximum duration of 3 hours and you want to start another one immediately, it is possible that the browser in use has not yet deleted the temporary cookies, therefore it is necessary to use a browser or a device different from the first used.

WHAT AGE SHOULD HAVE PLAYERS?

Our adventures are playable at any age and are suitable for everyone, adults, teens, children with their families. Online adventures of the horror genre are aimed at an aware audience who are at least 14 years old. The indications of each adventure show the age range within which the game is playable.

DOES THE GAME REQUIRE SPECIAL SKILLS?

Ingenuity, intuition, desire to compete in solving puzzles and riddles.
